Contest Guide
In Grand Arena, contests are the essential part of this fantasy gaming sport. They have multiple formats and are available periodically for a determined duration (we will talk about these specific details later).
Here is where you will try to use your cards in the best way possible to win rewards in USDC and mXp. This will be your objective throughout Season 1:
Get cards → Build a lineup → Enter a contest → Earn rewards in USDC + mXp
There are two types of cards: Champion Cards & Squeme Cards.

Champion Cards have rarities, each with a multiplier:
❯
Note: From my point of view, the rarity multiplier provides a big difference when using lineups of different rarities in the same contest, but choosing a good champion who performs well to place in your lineup is super important since you will rely on its performance in Moki Mayhem to climb the leaderboard.
Squeme Cards will give you an extra bonus depending on which Squeme Card you choose and which champions you include in your lineups.
You can learn more about this topic here: Grand Arena Wiki
To build a lineup, you will need 4 Champion Cards + 1 Squeme Card. The logic behind this is that champions compete at intervals while the contest is running; depending on the type of contest you enter, the champions will play a different number of matches (9 matches in the daily contests, 5 matches in the half-day contests, and there are also weekly contests), earn score points, and be positioned on a leaderboard within the contest where the rewards will be distributed.
Once you have decided which lineup to use, you will go to the contests and see a lot of information, but don’t worry, we will explain it.
There are several types of contests. The number of participants will be determined in each contest and to enter you need to pay a fee using gems (100 gems, 200 gems, 300 gems, etc. remember that 100 gems ≈ 1 USDC so please participate responsibly). You can also pay the entry fee with USDC.

Contests can be weekly, daily, or half-day. Depending on the duration, this will determine the number of matches played by each champion. You will also find some contests limited by rarity, where you can only use the rarities allowed by the contest.
❯
Note: If you have several champions, diversify across different rarities so you can have them available for different contests.
The community has created different tools to track the performance of each champion. You can use tools like GA Tracker to analyze the meta, or see how they are performing on the leaderboard: Leaderboard Stats.
This will give you an idea of how each champion is performing over time and let you see their stats. You can use this information combined with the Squeme Card you choose to put your lineup into competition.
Once you are sure about a specific lineup, simply click the contest interface, select the Squeme Card you will use, and click "Enter Lineup", the cards will remain locked until the contest ends. You’ll be able to follow the contest in the ‘In Play’ section.
Note: The (i) button contains all the info about the contest you are entering and the rewards you can earn.
Many players opt to use different strategies, such as using Squeme Cards like "DIVINE INTERVENTION" or "WHALE WATCHING" which grant points for using specific types of champions (e.g., Spirits or 1 of 1 respectively), or use other Squeme Cards that give points for certain champion actions in Moki Mayhem.
Tip: In the contest leaderboard, you can see which cards the top players are using and develop an idea of what the top players are choosing.
And that’s it for this small guide. I hope it is very helpful, and good luck in Grand Arena!
